Studio Tenn revisits Tennessee Williams’ 'The Glass Menagerie'

Tennessee Williams’ haunting domestic drama “The Glass Menagerie” hinges on the influence and power of memory. And while local audiences surely will recall Studio Tenn’s beautiful 2011 staging, director Matt Logan is eager to build on the success of that production with fresh design elements.

“This is one of those shows that we’ve been wanting to bring back for some time, and it’s often requested by our patrons,” Logan says of the stirring classic, which features strong autobiographical elements based on Williams’ own domineering mother and fragile sister.

“It’s been five years since the original production, and the company has grown so much in that time,” he says. “As a designer, I feel encouraged to go a little deeper. And we’re thrilled to be able to bring it to Jamison Hall and to reunite this amazing cast.”
